Likes: Who needs gold when you have platinum!? The motion of this ball is something totally different than what you are used to seeing from the Big B. This is the longest and strongest ball in my bag. If you like to throw the ball away from the headpin and watch it flip downlane this is the ball for you. This ball gets through burnt heads like its nothing and the amount of hook downlane is really impressive for the price point. This ball is a great compliment to the original and a must have for lighter conditions. Rev dominant players will love this ball due to how easy it shoots down the lane. A must have in your bag for when they get toasty.

The Platinum Ringer is a go to ball on medium to lighter conditions or severe breakdown.  This ball fits in right between the original Ringer and the strike king with a quicker response to friction than both.   Once the lanes have transitioned and the boomers have really dried the heads out a bunch I can use this ball to move back right a little and continue striking.  As the night goes on, the Platinum Ringer allows me to continue to chase the transition inside without having to worry about whether it will recover.  It is 2 and 1 weaker than my original Ringer with better length and a stronger move at the breakpoint.  The Ringer was the flippiest ball in the Brunswick lineup for me until the release of the Platinum Ringer.  If your looking for a skid flip reaction on drier conditions take a good look at the new Platinum Ringer.  You wont be disappointed!

A little about me, I am slightly rev dominant, 12 degrees of tilt and 35 degrees of axis rotation. PAP is 4 over and 3/4 up.

Platinum is better!! The new Ringer is longer and more angular than the burgundy Ringer.

The burgundy Ringer is one of my favorite balls. It is the most underrated ball on the market. The Platinum takes the burgundy a step further. It is cleaner, more angular and a little weaker. It will fit nicely below the Melee and above the Strike King.

First one is drilled 50x4.5x70. This ball is very clean and pretty stable down lane. I will use this when the pattern breaks down and I move really far in but don't want to keep my angles tight. I could also add some surface to this and use on shorter patterns as well.

Second is drilled 70x4.5x40. I did this one to really open my angles up when they are really hooking. I have not used this much yet, but when I did, it was very clean and really flippy down lane. I was amazed at how hard this one cornered. I really noticed a difference between pin up and pin down with this ball.

If are in need of that ball for your toasty house shot, or the burn in that tournament arsenal, pick up The Ringer Platinum!! Remember, PLATINUM IS BETTER!!

COMMENTS

Likes:  I can play closer friction without sacrificing "hit". The ball looks like a blue dot going down the lane until it finishes strong!  The ball hits hard and outperforms many with much higher price tags.  Excellent value.

Dislikes:  The only thing I'm not terribly fond of is the yellow label.  Burgundy or black would show up better.  Seems trivial, but that is ONLY thing.

Likes: I drilled my Platinum Ringer 50 X 5.5 X 25. This ball is about 3 boards stronger than my Burgundy Ringer. All on the backend. The way these pieces fit is remarkable. It may be due to the flatter house shot we use, but all three of these new releases are three boards apart on the approach. Probably works this way for me. Others will probably see something different. This piece has the same length as the Melee but is even stronger on the backend. Energy retention is exceptional. Anyone could build a really good three ball arsenal with just these three new balls from Brunswick.

The Platinum Ringer is a good compliment to the Burgundy Ringer. The Platinum Ringer is about 2 - 4 feet longer than the Burgundy and has the same strong reaction to friction. I have used this ball multiple times when I need to play straighter through the front part of the lane because of too much hook to the right. Or, when I need to get in and wheel it to the friction when the lanes break down. This ball is really good for when the lanes have a defined friction spot that you can throw it to and bounce it off. Or when you need to play straighter angles but still have friction. It is a good go to ball later in a block.

COMMENTS

The Ringer Platinum is a great ball on a broken down shot or any light oil situation. It goes very long with a strong flip down lane. I’ve found you can crack the polish on this ball with a 2k pad and, in this case, will work very well on a medium condition as well. The ball motion is unlike anything else in the Brunswick lineup, it is a classic skid snap reaction which was a reaction needed in the Brunswick arsenal. When everything else is either checking up early or burning up, the Ringer Platinum is usually the answer. The ball springs to live in this situation. It can also be used on a house shot where you have the typical over/under reaction if you commit to playing the friction in that case, the Ringer will give you good length with a pronounced hard snap on the back end. Don’t overlook this ball as something too weak, it will surprise you. This ball has a place in the tournament player’s arsenal and can be used by league players who are looking for the typical length with skid/snap reaction.

My Impressions - Silver ball good…real good!  Super easy length with big pop for the pins. 

More hook than you will ever expect at a length make your eyes pop out!
