I do not have the Zone Pro TE 3, but the regular Azure Zone Pro (ETX-1).  I wanted to review it since I do not have any of the balls Brunswick has on this list.  The Azure was my first ProActive.  It is very even compared to the Jade Quantum (ETX-1), Teal Zone Pro (ETX-5), and the Deep Violet Zone Pro (MTX-4).  It works very well on oily conditions, and has an even arc all the way down the lane.  I have this drilled in a Stack-Leverage pattern with a 2-3" pin, and the CG is kicked slightly in towards the center of my grip.  This ball is very predictable, but a much more controlable back end than the Deep Violet.  This ball also hits the pins like a truck.  It also holds up surprisingly well when they dry out, but to an extent.  A great ball to stay in the oil with and project it to just hit the dry with an arcing back-end.  Of the three Zone Pros, this one works best in oil, the Teal has a tendancy to be weaker, and the Deep Violet is the most aggressive on the back-end.  If you like more snap on the back-end then go with the Deep Violet.  If you want more of an arc all the way through the lane than get the Azure Zone Pro or the Teal, but again I haven't liked the reaction and the hitting power of the Teal as much as the Azure.

Well this review actually refers to the ProZone Azure. As a bowler who throws with a 50 to 70 degree release I've always had trouble with heavy early oil.

No More.  Today the guys I bowl with set out to stymie me. They got the house manager to put out heavy flat oil to almost 45 feet. Gotcha they thought!  The Pro Zone Azure was ready for the challenge I thought.  After 13 out of 15 strikes I'm ready for the heavy oil tournament shots which have usually stymied me.

3 3/8 Pin from Pap and CG near the grip center and no weight hole combined with this rough surface ball led to lots of early revs steady hook all the way down the lane with continuous back end and lots of carry.  Despite reports to the contrary I went to a pair oiled 7 to 7 stood in the oil didn't even have to swing out to the dry and continued to strike.  I have also had the chaos and its hook was just too big for me!  Bucket, split, Bucket, split were my results with this ball( It sounds like a marching rhythm doesn't it?)  I must confess that I did not use above pin position which is my favorite drilling)

If you want a condition specific ball with early roll for heavy oil with lots of carry and a little less hook than the chaos I think you'll be very happy.  Pocket Percentage Baby!

It takes Courage to have Faith, and Faith to have Courage.
