What's your impression of the Rattler?
« on: December 25, 2009, 09:22:12 AM »
Just thought I'd ask what has been everyone's honest impression of the Rattler.  I may pick one up and I wanted to get an idea of what to expect.
Thanks to all for your input.

Gazoo....they did not mention anything about the Diamondback coverstock. They did make it a point to mention the Rattler and Wild Ride though.

That's all I can tell you.

The Rattlers i have drilled and sold have all been better than anyone figured. i love my first one and my second is still in my bag now.

the diamond back for me has been the best ball when the local house shots play a little wet or backends are ripper.

average 235 60 games into a league that i was 225 in last year sums it up for me.

I picked up a used rattler in a trade recently.  Yiu can tell the ball is something special right away.  the coverstock has a feel to it unlike activator.  almost a velvety feel.  the ball is oblivious to carrydown for me.  way stronger than I thought it would be.  I polish as much as I can and it still moves in heavy oil.  just a great ball.

I've always thought about getting a Rattler, but I wound up winning a Nomad Solid and have been using that on our THS.  It's a nice angular ball.  How does the Rattler compare to the Nomad (layed out the same), and would it be worth having both?
