"Cherry Bomb"...Why is it the most popular Lane#1 ball?
« on: February 28, 2007, 12:37:51 AM »
Im curious....Maybe some of you out there can clear this up for me. Everytime a Cherry Bomb comes up for sale on Ebay people go nuts over this ball. Whether it is new or used their seems to be a love affair with this perticular ball. I dont own any Lane#1 equipment.....but i have friends who swear by it. Ive seen the Carbide Bomb,Carbide Plus,Dirty Bomb,XXXL,Gold Nugget and other Lane#1 balls in action.....they all hit the same..."hard", But I have noticed that the Cherry Bomb seems to be the cream of the crop. My question is....Is the Cherry Bomb really that great of a ball?

Have you thought about adjusting the surface on the Smashtime Particle? That is suppose to be a great ball and stronger than the Solid CObalt Bomb of which I do have one also.

earlthepearle, I don't throw much Brunswick mostly for personal reasons, but they do have some very good balls and you can't go wrong with balls such as the Vapor Zone, Absolute Inferno, and the Total Inferno. A lady I bowl with in a mixed league has a new Total Inferno and she has been bowling like there is no tomorrow with more high games and series with it than she has ever had since she got it about 6 weeks ago. For her, that ball "rocks".
