Vis A Ball - is it wearing out???
« on: October 10, 2003, 02:45:34 AM »
I have a USA Pride Vis A Ball. I guess I've had it for close to 2 years now.
I only use it for right side spares - gets waaaay too much use on 10 pins .

It looks awfully beat up, and it's faded. I've heard some people say that they really do start to hook at a certain point, and I've had others say that is not true.

Anyone got opinions? Observations?

I missed 5 10 pins last night - first two games, I had one shot that wasn't either a 10 pin or a strike. Missed 2 10 pin spares... Missed 3 more the last game. All because the ball would just flip a teeny bit at the very back of the lane. I picked up a few, too... Just wondering if a new spare ball is what I need.

Hey Mumzie,

My plastic ball gets a lot of action also.If you hit the pocket all the time like you do, you tend to shoot 10 pins more than someone who hits the pocket less. The ball gets tracked out and start to miss the 10 pin especially when the lanes starts hooking. I would resurface the ball, or just replace it.

you CAN resurface this ball and polish it back up but the image on the coverstock will be ruined.
