FURY what a waste.
« on: June 04, 2007, 03:49:22 PM »
Hey i just got a fury and it sucks. My TNV with tommy layout has the same overall hook as it. The fury has a more of an arc but in no way could i use this ball in oil. I am a pretty good bowler with alot of revs

I threw it in shark pattern and it slid the whole way. I am going for a mammoth now.

Its been said but I'll say it again, this ball NEEDS lots of oil. I bowled on a 44ft sport pattern tonight and my Fury worked great for the first game but once the pattern started to breakdown you could see the ball just starting to pick up too early and fizzle out This is with the surface at 2000 abralon. Switched to my Total Inferno and all was good. This ball can be condition specific but that is exactly why I bought it, for when everything else in my bags won't hook. I might only roll it a few games a year but when I need it, its there.

JShiff,

Interesting. A friend of mine (female) is also having the same promblem with her Fury.  She tried it on the Shark pattern also and (same as yours) it is flaring like crazy but not moving much.  She isn't rev challenged but certainly not big on revs either, mid to low ball speed also.  I made her take the ball into the pro shop after league was over and have it sufaced to 1000 grit abralon (hers was scuffed up).  It appeared to be flaring out a bit to me, i was not sure.  I have not spoken with her since last week, but will find out how it worked out today.  She bowled last night.  What where the specs on yours prior to drilling, if you don't mind me asking?
