Going with Big B
« on: December 14, 2006, 05:50:31 PM »
I'm expanding my horizons and going to try another Brunswick ball. I want something to fit in with my Black Widow and Storm Spit Fire. I'm thinking something to handle more oil than the BW and something weaker than the SF... Any suggestions....

Other than my Target Zone, I haven't used Brunswick since the Quantum line was out... Yikes, it's been way too long....

I haven't bought a B ball in quite some time either, but I'm looking for a good medium ball to fit under my One.  I'm looking at the Red Zone myself.
Seems like it would fit what you're looking for too.

The proshop I had been going to had some sort of deal/ sponsorship with Storm and he got equipment early and at discounts, that were passed on to his "best customers" ....me. Also, I live extremely close to AMF and Morich headquaters....I've since moved twice and have had a few places drill up stuff for me and the last place, the driller was a Track Am. Staffer, and guess what he pushed.....yep.... So, I feel like it's time to try some different equipment. I tried the Black Widow, my first Hammer/Ebonite ball in quite a while aswell. The Red Zone looks interesting and my new proshop guy has one and likes it and the vapor zone also.... hmmmm. So, will the red handle more oil than the BW??? I'm sure it would handle more than the Spit Fire.

A couple of teammates both have Widows and they can really be aggressive balls on the back. My Red Zone is very close motion wise, but I left the factory finish on mine. With the factory finish, mine seems to get longer thru the mids than their Widows. You should be able to compliment it with the right surface and lay out. Maybe drill it pin up with some polish on it.

And yes it will handle oil better than the Spit Fire. The Spit Fire might be closer to the Rampage in the Big B lineup. Depending on surface, the Punisher might be a nice compliment to it as well.

The Red Zone is a very versitile ball and can handle a wide range of conditions.
