For those of us that throw an Original Inferno would you say it is more of a rough buff, or high gloss finish?
What is the Original Inferno's OOB condition?
Smoking is High Gloss, yet Absolute is Rough Buff.
I used Brunswick high gloss on my Original Inferno and now it seems to take longer to set up and finish. It just sorta spins all the way.
Should I try the Rouch Buff on it?

Inferno - Heavy to Medium oil
Action Packed - Medium oil
Smoking Inferno - Medium to dry
Blue Dot - Spare ball

Did you hit it with 400, then apply Factory Finish?

this was my first ever reactive ball and i remember looking up the specs for it. oob condition was 800 high gloss finish.
it's true that it rolled pretty straight even on a med oiled condition so i had it sanded to 400 applied a little of the rough buff so now ball hooks alot more then it use to.

Mine has a ruff buff type surface, and I have no problems with it at all. luvdasport's idea sounds like good advice for you.

The 400 that Nick mentioned has to be done, otherwise you will get the much later reaction that you saw. I found this out by experience on my OI and had to knock the polish off a bit to get the reaction back.

the oob finish is 400 and then hit it with brunswick high gloss factory finish polish. I did this to my friends after placing it in the hook again kit and it was like brand new and it looked that way too.

Boy do I love bowling, stone 8,stone 9, ringer 7,fly by 10,fast six got to love this game. Short look at what most of my games look like with a few strikes peppered in between. Isn't it wonderful.
