My Puisher
« on: November 18, 2006, 12:15:31 PM »
Today, at league I was on my line of avg 150-162. I'm trying to increase my avg to 162. So i pull out my Punisher. The med lane was med oily and the gutters were dry. I didn't practice. I stood at 36 and swung the ball out to 16 at 45 and low and behold it came back and exploded the pocket. I was throwing a full roller track today instead of my normal three quarter. I'm 14 and started last year avging 110 at the end of the year, not bad. Avging 162 now.

Great Job! Just keep practicing and don't forget to asked some advised at the Pro Shop. Remember the Basic keep you arm close on your side and the ball and swing with Follow thru. On Follow thru your hand should be parallel with your ear thats indicates your ball direction. Wrong example> On Follow thru if your hand end up between you eyes that means your target is the 7 pin. Good Luck!

Thanks Leo Analyn, I try to keep my swing basic, where the balls wieght creates the backswing. All my 200s were like that.

Went to a doubles tournament, my team finished 5th with 698 series. I stood at 35, slide foot on 35, threw the Punisher straight, crossing 4 boards every ft or so, this thing came back and destored the rack. High Game 254 for me, 256 for my parner.

Great shooting!!

Theres 1 thing my partners say to me when I start to struggle on thursday nights which I feel could be the real reason why im doing very well. They usually say 1 word and 1 word only. That word is "KISS". Your thinking "KISS?!?!?!" That means; Keep It Simple, Stupid! The more simplified your game is the less there is for bad habits to sneak in or for you to concentrate about.

Practice is key to a great approach, I know its not always easy to practice like you need to but do it when you can. Ive been practicing on friday nights, right now im not seeing any benifits from it yet but, i have no doubts that I will with time.

Congrats on your current success, hope you have alot more in the near and far future.

Thanks BrunsMike. This season, both of my trainers (really mentors), said go to practice and practice the only pin you can't pick up 9/10 times. This being the 10 pin. I feel that I will get the most improved award if it was from last year and this one cause last year I had a 88 at the begining and avged 110 at the end. I'm shooting for a 170 avg this year.
