Hey, I have a chance to buy one of these for $100 at a pro-am. A smoking deal for such a popular ball.
I honestly have no spot in the arsenal for the ball. But, I have wanted to try one of these bad boys since it came out! I have missed the entire inferno line and I think I am going to crack.
My pro shop guy drilled one up. He wasn't very happy b/c he drilled his weak.
I was wanting to polish it up, and use it on fresh mediums. I don't see any heavier than that except for tournaments and I have other balls for those conditions.
How does this ball do polished?
How should I drill it? Stats in Profile. I'd like length with a strong recovery.
Thanks in advance for your opinions!
Kyle

Well I might not be helping you much, but this ball is flat out awesome out of box condition, havn't heard a bad thing about it yet, and a friend of mine got his, he keeps thanking me for suggesting it to him, I see some big numbers coming from him with that ball. I say take this deal for sure, drill it up to handle med-heavy conditions, and use it a few times. You may not want whatever ball you have in the med-heavy spot anymore after you see it roll. I've also missed out entirely on the inferno line so I'd take that oppourtunity in a heart beat. Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but just my 2 cents.

I see what you mean, but I'd hate to get this ball and only be able to use it a couple times a year. Not even all the tournaments I attend have med/hvy.
I am sure I'll throw it out of box finish before I adjust it with polish (if needed). I was just curious if anyone has polished thiers and if they liked their reaction.
Thanks,
Kyle

I polished mine a little with the Brunswick Hi-Gloss polish. It was fine, but I prefer the reaction after a bit of play - somwhere between box finish and polish. I have a second one that I plan on leaving dull (box). No point in putting a high-gloss polish on this ball - there's other stuff for that kind of reaction.

Sounds like its a ball to buy then trade
