Title: Absolute Inferno- initial impressions
Post by: MSC2471 on March 26, 2005, 09:32:35 PM
Got the chance to take the Big B plunge with this ball (first time since the Black Phantom....many moons ago). Had it drilled similarly as my Hot Wire ( pin above bridge, cg below middle finger...no weight hole), a 4 X 4 I believe. Went to try it at the house I receive coaching at in Cambridge- synthetic lanes, 36 feet oil pattern, typical 10 to 10 house shot, but tons of carrydown as the backs weren't stripped for the kids leagues on Saturday morning. I was bowling on this pair after 5 more hours of open play due to coaching, so I knew the conditions would be fun. With the Absolute I was able to play a couple of different lines successfully- lining up at 24 I was able to play 17 out to 2 or 3 with plenty of recovery, no roll out and a nice mix of the pins. When I wanted to move to more of my down and in style I squared up at 13, hit 10 board out to 4 or 5 and still had strong power through the pins. I think this ball will be a first ball out of the bag situation for a majority of the houses I see, I'll report more as I get more games on this in different houses.

Sounds good so far Matt...glad to hear it!

I haven't drilled Brunswick ball for myself in a long while and the Absolutes sitting in the shop are very tempting!
