Help layout for Scorchin
« on: February 13, 2006, 12:36:47 AM »
I have four Scorchin's setting in front of me that I bought to sell through my shop, and I just can't take it any more..gonna have to put holes in one that just happens to fit me...first ever Brunswick ball for me. I drilled and delivered one to a customer and liked the look on the lane.

Here is my want...I have a Seek & Destroy at 3 3/4 x 5 with target hole and it seems to not have quite enough back end pop in mid second to third game, due to carry down, when I am chased more inside due to heads and mids breaking down. I have a 3 1/2 pin, a 2 1/2 pin and a 2 pin to chose from and all are 2.2 to 2.7 tops......thanks all, Al

ps my stats are in profile.

Wow. You have a lot of early rolling layouts.

Why don't you try, pin under bridge or ring finger,
Cg kicked out an inch to inch and a half, with a x-hole 2 inches below your
axis?

That should roll nice and give you a different look.

I would definately throw the pin above the fingers either above the bridge or above riign finger and either stack if under ring or kick to positive side if above bridge this will give you the length you desire and the backend pop you are looking for cause if you put the pin down with this core cover combo it is going to try to move as soon as it hits lanes and puke by time it gets past arrows.  I know this cause i have seen it already a local driller drilled one for himself and it starts moving as soon as it hits lanes and craps at arrows he has way to many revs to drill a ball this strong, as strong as he did. that is my 2 cents good luck with it.

Thanks for the suggestions...Yes I do usually use early roll set up due to my speed a little overbearing my revs...I don't turn it up like I once did. My thoughts were if I use the longer pin I would put pin above or pin below and use a shorter pin. I know cg no maddaa but I like to keep the finger / thumb ratio so I can put weight holes later. Pin above at 4" and cg positive and near mid height is looking good right now..

thanks, Al
