MADE IN MEXICO
« on: January 25, 2008, 04:50:55 PM »
What was the reason Brunswick balls are not engraved "MADE IN MEXICO"
My driller had a laugh when he opened the box finding a sticker on the ball instead engraving.

I've recieved balls with the ok inspected sticker on them with the date is 2 weeks ahead. example it's jan 20th and it said Jan 30 2008. Does that mean the ball will only be ready on jan 30th? It was odd that i bought t zone seconds that even had that same stamp on them. Ok inspected doesn't really mean much anymore.

The box clearly says "Made in Mexico", Just about everybody on the planet allready knows this. Golf clubs are made in China.  So what is the big deal?

Golfers have no problem walking into their golf pro shops and paying big bucks for their clubs,  mostly made in China.  So bowlers will get use to it.
After all, "a good bowler adjust."

jls, unless I'm mistaken, this sticker finalizes an issue that Brunswick had with shipping these balls out.  The reason some of the delays in shipment have taken place is that som epills left Mexico without "Made in Mexico" stamped/engraved on the ball.  This sticker was utilized to appease other manufacturers that complained about the lack of Mexico markings on the balls made south of the border.  Again, this is what I've heard.  Is it fact?  I certainly hope so.  If not, I'll gladly recant these statements.  These stickers are merely to remind buyers where they've been made, nothing else.

OK JlS, When you get a golf club there are no chips in the rod, no rips in the grip, and the head isnt sideways?  But when we get a Brunswick ball, it is unevenly surfaced, sometimes dented, and most of the time multiple CGmarkings,  Yes such high quality, there is no complaints here.

Sir
I can not tell a lie, and you know, and most know, that now everyone knows, that i' m  no big fan of Brunswick.

But in the year or so that their balls have been made in Mexico.  I have had no problems with any ball.  No flaws, cracks etc. And i do not believe that we had any defective Brunswick balls in all of 2007.

Sorry to hear about the poor quality of the balls you are receiving.
But, i honestly have not had one issue with any of their balls since the move.

Now of course,  they are not the biggest sellers in my shop.  But we have sold a fury or two.  Even tho we lost "millions" on that ball.  And we have sold a twisted or two.  But so far,  no problems with their quality control.  Maybe we have just been lucky.

It's the law.  The final comsumer needs to be aware where the product was made.  I work with electronics and every item in our store notes where the product is made if not made in USA.

They probably mean: Ok, inspected. It doesn't mean it good, just that it was inspected! Haha!
