can some please explain or direct me to a site that tell me what all of the ratings and angle numbers and etc. mean when they describe a ball and how it hooks or slides?

For Brunswick, the numbers fit on the scale they give. The higher the number on the overall rating, the bigger the overall hook. The lower the number on "Early/Late", the earlier it'll move on the lane. The higher the angle number, the more angular the ball is when it makes its move.
