My Intense Inferno
« on: January 21, 2005, 01:47:34 PM »
I am looking for some advice about my II.  I have had this ball since November and I cannot get this thing to take the corner on a consistant basis.  here is a bit about me Tweener medium revs medium speed, high track.  I have this ball drilled pin above ring 4.5 inches to PAP 75 degree angle.  I dont know should I sand this with some scotch brite so it will grab more?  is my drilling wrong?  So close to putting this thing up on the auction block with my discust. Thought I would ask for some insite before I get drastic, since you all helped me with my nemesis issue a while back.

First of all,
Why did you put the pin above the ring finger? Yes, I'd say your drilling is wrong. If this is a 15 lb ball, the RG start almost at 2.6!!

Second, like any pearl, especially one with such a high RG to begin with (before you put the pin above the ring finger), you do have to hit the dry. If you do, this ball, even in a fluffer's hand, will turn the corner.

I wouldn't sand the ball; try just roughing it up slightly, with a nylon pad, just to remove some of the shine, to give it a little polish.

I can use mine one medium-light, with a huge swing shot, to medium-heavy where I have to play more of the outside but still not down and in.
