Little help please
« on: April 29, 2009, 05:27:10 PM »
Currently using a Copperhead,Sidewinder,Twisted Fury, and Force III (urethane). Only want to carry 4 balls with me and looking to set the Twisted Fury to the side. Reason is that the Copperhead and Sidewinder match me really well and the Twisted is just an ok ball. It doesn't have to be Big B stuff but since that's what I have most of thought you would better know what they do. Any help on what to go with will be appriecated.

cell pearl. strong excellent ball with amazing cover versatility. the 2nd dimension would be a smoother option. both are awesome. the widow venom is a nice piece but you should go with a pearl. good luck.

If you want a Brunswick ball, I'd consider either a Rattler (even same core as Sidewinder & Copperhead) or a Swarm - even though I think the Rattler would be quite close to the Sidewinder, so I'd give it a different layout to make it a true addition to your arsenal. Swarm would be weaker, but IMO fit better between the Sidewinder and urethane ball.

The Rattler is not even close to the Sidewinder as far as reaction.

That's what I did not say - just handling simlar conditions, but in a very different fashion/reaction shape

atltnpnr,

You never mentioned what reaction you are trying to find with a new ball choice. You said the Copperhead and Sidewinder match you really well. What layout and surface do you have on those two and what do they do for you? In reality, you should have your ball driller help you make these decisions since hopefully he/she knows your game and has actually seen your arsenal in person. Nothing beats seeing the ball reaction first hand and knowing all the variables, and that's what your driller (or another bowler that knows ball reaction) should be able to do for you.

I asked here just for 2nd opinions. My ball driller/teammate said the Rattler. So will go with that. Mainly because , yes he does know my game and plus others suggested it also. Thanks again for those that helped. Never asked what the layouts were so still don't know.
