Title: Best choice for dry?
Post by: Gene J Kanak on May 11, 2005, 08:21:53 AM
That's what I want to know. Here's my current arsenal in order of strongest to weakest:

Real Deal
Ultimate Inferno (polished)
Blade Solid Reactive (dull)
Zone Classic
Absolute Inferno
Blade Pearl Reactive
Blazing Inferno
Target Zone

I also have a second Real Deal and an original Deal in the shop being plugged and redrilled. My thought is to keep this Real Deal dull for very heavy because my current Real Deal has the same hook potential as my Ultimate. The Real Deal is just smoother. I'm not sure where the Deal is going to fit. I wanted it to be a skid-snap type of ball to fit about the Absolute, but the Zone Classic seems to do that pretty well, so I'm not sure I need it. In any case, I'm looking for a weaker ball than the Blazing. I'm considering the Red Pin Zone Classic, Power Groove Dry/R and Punisher. I am a high speed player with slightly above average revs. The Blazing works pretty well on most dry, but it still checks a bit early and gets jumpy if I hit up on it at all. I'm looking for a ball that clears the heads just as well and is a bit smoother on the backend. Which of these three do you think is most apt to fit the bill?

I can't bowl 300, but I can bench 340 : )
