Impulse Zone mini review
« on: February 17, 2005, 11:13:52 PM »
I was lucky to pick up two IZ's (one new and one used) a couple of weeks ago. I had one drilled up (box finish) with pin between and above the fingers with psa about 1" right of thumb, small weight hole near pap. This ball gives me length with a strong backend reaction. It basically is hook set, maybe with a slight arc. It carries unbelievably well though as I rarely leave corner pins.

The second one is drilled with the pin slightly above and to the right of my ring finger, psa about 2" right of thumb, small weight hole near pap. Finish is lightly hit with a burgundy scotch brite pad. This one rolls approximately 5 feet sooner and is a little more continuous on the backend. Again, carry is exceptional.

So far, the past couple of weeks in my leagues I've had scores of 665, 670, 691 and 779 (last night).  I highly reccomend this ball to anyone!

I loved my impulse zone in box finish, first game it was kinda flippy on the backends, as the lanes brokedown the transition was more of an arc.  Then after 30-50 games or so and cleaning it my factory finish wore off and it started up very early and i can never find the pocket with it.  Drilled very strong, pin up and to the right of ring finger, cg swung out, and psa 1 1/2in from the thumb hole, and a x-hole adjacent to gripline center.

I purchased some factory finish, and shined it up, in intrested to see how it reacts now.
