Brunswick's cg propaganda
« on: July 06, 2005, 01:30:49 PM »
would do any nation proud...http://www.brunswickbowling.com/uploads/vids/CG_demo_5-05.wmv

excellent video...but they left out a few details....

1st as pointed out by many...why compare a legal to an illegal ball...where's the the weight-hole to take out the thumb-weight/side-weight???? oops that might have produced something you don't want the USBC to see on film...

2nd speaking of film...lane-dressing for said video...we all know lanes can be dressed to increase/decrease reaction....have seen house shots or floods make all equipment look identical...but put them on a sport shot...and one can easily see things much quicker...obviously the video producers kept that "little" secret in the dark....don't think the usbc or higher ave. bowler is fooled by that video at all...

3rd/final...brunswick left hand should tell the right hand what it's doing....ie. on the brunswick insiders site...RICK BENOIT...brunswick's own ACKNOWLEDGED QURU goes into great detail about when and when not to use stacked leverage (you can look it up for youselves)...i.e the position of the cg in relation to pin and pap...A DIRECT CONTRADICTION to brunswick's OWN-HYPED video...

This all coming from a company who exhibits nothing but greed...LET'S move to MEXICO....they have NO CREDIBILITY

Brunswick's not the only company who's said this.  Morich has stated that they believe "seegee nomaddah".......

Oh and by the way, there was no weighthole because the weighthole would change the RG values of the ball, which would change reaction.  Idiot.

Please, don't bring this up again.  We've gone through this MANY times, discussing ideas (on both sides) your small mind can't understand.

OH and I forget when or where, but Brunswick also said they will be doing an open-house demonstration of the CG and weighthole theories.  Just for people who want first hand experience with the ideas...

Oh BTW, I don't mean to sound so rude, but this topic is a dead horse that has been beaten to death, resurrected, beaten more, electrocuted but kept alive, put in a bag and set on fire, thrown off a cliff, resurrected again and shot in the foot and generall tortured.  In otherwords, everyone's sick of it.

Well what do you expect anyone to say, honestly?  About the lane thing, well freaking DUH they can make it to prove their point.  But do we KNOW that they did that?  No.  So that doesn't really go anywhere.  And as for the Rick thing, I really don't know about that, I'd imagine he'd have something to say about all that, and would despise their drill sheet.  I doubt he could work at a company that blatantly tells him he's wrong in what he does (and Brunswick makes sure all their employees know their stand on CG's)....

Hey guess what, that's all anyone can say about those two "points".  Isn't that cool?  Sammy, all your posts are just negative little things that try to stir up conspiracy and anger.  Find something to do.

Oh and actually the lane thing WAS talked about before, leaving you with one "point" about Rick Benoit, and since we don't know everything going on between him and Brunswick, nobody can comment on that.

They've also never made a symmetrical ball so I of course it doesn't matter in their equipment.

I've always wondered if it did matter in pieces of equipment that look different in core shape as if it were assymetrical in design but due to core mass/weight distributions it's symmetrical because if you're turning the C.G either way in these cores it's turning the core to a new angle thus taking out mass from a different part/shape of the core thus making some sort of difference(although who knows what that difference might be?)

For Instance, confirmed "symmetricals" that appear assymetrical in design
Bully Series

Super/Ultra Sonic

Oracle

Depth Charge
http://123bowl.com/images/balls/2280-c.jpg

What happens when you move the C.G. and it turns the "Puck" or Arm" in either direction, you could go from hitting the additional mass to not hitting it right?  So wouldn't swinging the C.G. on these balls "matter"?

DJ, we went through the "core orientation" thing in another thread.  I think it was call "So CG's dont matter, huh?  Okay...."  started by Ric Clint.  It was all about that, I'm too lazy to retype everything.

OH yeah, and by the way, all of those are asymmetrical.  So mass bias/PSA/(whatever other terms there are) would be the dominant factor, not the CG assuming it is signifcant.

BTW, where did you hear those were symmetrical?  Everything I knew about them said asymmetrical....Heck, even by looking at them.  THey aren't symmetrical if you cut them in half, like symmetricals are supposed to be...

EDIT:  I didn't see anything about that on RG's site, storm's site had the asymmetrical drill guide for the DC, and C300's site uses the same, 10-year-old-looking drill sheet for everything so either they don't believe in mass bias, everything they have is symmetrical, or they just never put up an asymmetric guide.

Cores are symmetrical/assymetrical according to mass.  All of those companies have literature touting them as symmetricals.  If I take a cup with a lid on it, stuff it half with paper then turn it on it's side 90 degrees, it's symmetrical in shape but the weight distribution is not, thus making it assymetrical despite shape.

Look at these cores, symmetrical in design, but different densities from one side to another, making them assymetrical....

DJ, see my edited post.  And another thing to note is that 123bowl lists all of them as asymmetric.  I wonder where they got from, if indeed they are symmetric?

Let's see...a-47 arguements have been:

A)bash the orignal poster

B)ASSume about lane conditions...could go either way...well isn't that the point....

C)bash poster again

d)ASSume R.B./Big B. are together....unfortunately R.B. posted his comments way before USBC took their stance/Big B. made their video...LMAO

e)bash poster again

Well you know what they say about people who ASSume...you or so I thought were one of the more "thoughtful" people on the boards A-47 whatever...(have over 150 on my ignore list)....However you have yet to post an original thought on this...other than to show you have been totally "Big B. washed"....that's ok...this post wasn't about you/me originally anyways...and you're right...I am stirring the pot...so what...it's America...NOW COME UP w/an original thought or rebuttal...

Dp3...very good points...original thinking there I see....

Where are the rest of the "brainwashee's"....this is too easy....I expected at least 20 people to really be frothing at the mouth to put me in my place?  oops could be I'm right and people are actually thinking original thoughts?

What am I supposed to reply to?  I already told you, or maybe I didn't most likely, I AGREE with you, Brunswick may have oiled the lanes to prove their point.  But I don't exactly feel like making that claim that they did, since I don't know everything.  And I can't really comment on the Rick Benoit thing, because you're right, it IS a contradiction.  I'm not here to defend anyone, despite what you might think.  Hate to disappoint you if you were expecting me to make long posts trying to defend Brunswick or whatever, because it's not like I can argue against you....

Oh and to keep the "pattern" going, imagine this sentence to be a verbal attack on you.  I think that completes F and G now.

Oh and BTW, what ever gave you the idea that I'm thoughtful and original?  I always thought I was looked upon as King Sheep of the Brunswick Mind-washed Army....
