right now my brunswick arsenal for this fall looks like this:


raging inferno---maroon scotch-brite pad
ultimate inferno---2,000 grit wetsanded
inferno---2,000 grit wetsanded, highly polished
monster slayR---2,000 grit wetsanded, several cycles in lustrekleen machine
notre dame viz-a-ball---many cycles in lustrekleen machine


a nemesis may replace the inferno and a goliath may replace the raging inferno. what's everyone else using this fall ?

Command Zone Arc, 4 x 4, sanded 500 grit
Inferno, 4 1/2 x 3 1/2
Time Zone, 3 3/8ths x 3 3/8ths
Monster Slay R, 1 1/2 x 1 1/2, sanded 1200 grit
Teal Rhino Pro, 4 x 4
Blazing Inferno, 5 x 4

I might add a Powergroove Chrome, I need something with alot of angle, but pushes longer than my Inferno.

Not bad chioces. You may want to add something between the infernos' and the slayR. Maybe a Bruiser,Power groove or the new Intense Inferno( long and strong)

My BigB arsenal:

Bruiser
ScreamR
Dynamic Groove.

Will likely add the Nemesis

My league arsenal will be (in order of aggressiveness/oil handling capabilities):

Teal Rhino Pro - 1000 wetsand
Power Groove Ice Blue Pearl - factory finish
Monster Slay'R (negative weighted)- factory finish
Groove Blue Urethane - 1000 polished
Target Zone (coming soon, when my Glow Storm falls apart LOL) - factory finish

I also have a Track Mojo and an Ebonite Killer Instinct Pearl but since this is the Brunswick forum I won't discuss those.

Ultimate Inferno (polish)
Intense Inferno (box)
Zone Classic (box)
Blazing Inferno (polish)
Inferno (retired)

League arsenal:

Fuze Eliminator
Inferno
Classic Zone
Fire Quantum
Monster Red/Black
Spare ball (Columbia gold dot now - soon to be replaced by a Big-B rubber ball)
(Warp Zone & Berry Razor stay in the truck for emergencies).

Tournament arsenal - above balls, and also haul around a Faball reactive pearl nail, an Ultimate Inferno, an Inferno with a different layout, and sometimes the Bruiser.

Geez, it's only July, for goodness sake.  I usually don't decide on a Fall arsenal until the night before Winter league starts.  

But here's what I'm using now, from strongest to weakest:

Danger Zone II Carbide (1E)
Fuze Igniter (1L)
PB III Long Skid (leverage-axis)
USA Viz-a-Ball (label)

All balls in box finish.

On edit:  Deleted Target Zone (doesn't fit anymore after grip change), added USA Viz-a-ball.

I believe in drilling a ball to match its strengths. The Inferno & the Zone Classic have essentially the same coverstock. The Inferno is a strong midlane ball that wants to rev up and move earlier than the Classic Zone. Drill it with your favorite layout. The Classic Zone wants to push a bit further than the Inferno, and will have a later, sharper backend. Give this ball a layout more conducive to length. This will allow you to cover a pretty wide range with these two balls.

Would it really be that hard for them to take the existing Urethane Groove and replace the pancake weight block with that from the Power Grooves (Modified Pancake core with 2 flip discs)? Now that is a ball that I would be interested in as I love the way my Power Groove just plows through the pins. Those added flip discs do make a noticable difference.

here is my revised arsenal for this fall:

it may seem odd to have the inferno so far down the "hookability" scale but i got it in feb. 2003. and despite trips to the rejuvinator, cleanings, hot water soakings, hook again powder, etc. this ball has lost some of it's original power. no matter, it will still fill a gap and will see use.
