BVP Rampage to replace Ti Pearl?
« on: July 04, 2006, 05:03:00 AM »
I really like the looks of the BVP Rampage.  Would it be a good replacement for a Columbia Messenger Ti Pearl (black and gold).

Thanks...

It will probably be earlier and hook more overall than the Ti Messenger pearl. The Rampage acts more like a polished solid than a true pearl. Seeing as how Brunswick pearls are 400 grit + their High Gloss polish. To make the Rampage act more like the skid/flip Messenger, you might have to sand it to 1000 grit and then apply the High Gloss polish. That way it will skid furthe rand be more flippy.

The Columbia Dr. Jekyl or the HyJinx or the Track Solution PowerPlus EX are probably closer overall to the Messenger Ti without having to modify their surfaces.

really ive heard 3 people say it was very skid flippy. 1 went as far to say it was a mid priced smokin inferno...

I doubt that the punisher is close to the Ti. My TI is some years old now with well over 75 games on it and it still has a much stronger backend than my brand new punisher on the same conditions. The smokin' seems to be a good ball to say that the TI moves like just that the smokin' goes a bit longer from what Ive seen and thrown.
