Ball under Brunswick Melee drilled label
« on: May 19, 2016, 12:46:39 PM »
I really love the reaction I'm getting from my Melee playing up 5 board. I usually stand about 16 and play in the 5 board range. I'm looking for a ball that I can play the same or similar line when I have to move with the Melee. I thought about the Outcast and didn't know if there would be enough separation. I have a Soul, but it's too strong with a motion hole. I thought about the Rhino and with it being pearl may give more push/length over a solid coverstock. I even thought about drill a Storm Tropical or Radical Rack Attack! Any thoughts or idea will be appreciated! Thanks, Bruce

Outcast, Rhino, or Rack Attack Pearl

I got a Rhino and drilled it with a 5 1/4 pin to pap with the pin over my middle finger. (Approx. 60 x 5 1/4 x 30) it gets plenty of length and has a controllable backend reaction but still enough to kick out 10s

Rack Attack. Like SVstar34 stated, go with the pearl. The solid is deceptively stronger than they rate. Great ball, every bowler needs one, or one of each.

My Melee is pretty soft off of the backend would consider my label drilled Outcast which to be comparable in strength with the Purple Rack Attack actually being a little stronger.
I would recommend either the Strike King, Rhino or even a Platium Ringer if you can find one as what I think you are really looking for is length once the front dries up

How close are the Rack Attack pearl and Rhino? I did shoot 300 with my Melee Cross playing up the boards in our senior doubles league! Thanks again for the help, Bruce
