I can't comment on if they are going to produce more BUT the TPUX shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had.  For that price I'd definitely give them a try.

I second that,I have used dexter, which for me the slide starts coming apart from dragging after few months, etonic just not comfortable, the tpu are the most comfortable  and durable in my opinion  and 109 is not a bad deal

The TPU-X shoes came from KR, Brunswick just licensed them from them. Big B didn't renew their licensing agreement with them. So their selling them off now.

(rebranded TPU's can be found under the Hammer and Pyramid name now)

$109 pretty good price

Great price!  As far as comfort, can't be beat.  Quality is awesome, no stitching or anything coming off, and I had the shoes since they first came out.  The only thing for me, because I am a toe-dragger, the front of my shoe is destroyed.  Well, not so bad that I can't still use them, but I have a bunch of tape on the toe to try and keep what rubber I have.  At $109, might have to get another pair.  The white one looks nice!

No more of the TPUX from Brunswick. Didn't re-up their deal with KR.  Brunswick will not have any upper performance shoes in this coming seasons product catalog.

On the TPU-X, both sides have replaceable soles AND heels; juts put the right sole and the right heel on both shoes. For all practical purposes there is no left or right pair; not sure why they're marketed that way. At least on the pair I bought, they can.

Look at this web page on Buddies web site:
http://www.buddiesproshop.com/p-5513-brunswick-tpu-x-bowling-shoes-whiteblack-right-handed.aspx (http://www.buddiesproshop.com/p-5513-brunswick-tpu-x-bowling-shoes-whiteblack-right-handed.aspx)
It says, "Interchangeable slide pads and heels on both shoes "!!!!

Hell's bells: you can even cut Dexter soles to the right shape and use them on either shoe.

Need any more options??

Sure... Free would be nice...   :)

Thanks for pointing out the replaceable everything Jeff. That will help. I'll continue to bitch about it being a right handed world though, but will probably buy a pair without telling anybody...

Steve, sometimes you just gotta take a deep breath, step back, relax and watch the world go by.

The TPU-Xs seems like very good shoes to me.

I agree, they are by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever used, been a Dexter SST user forever. But I too am a toe dragger and in less than 3 months the front was destroyed. Props to Brunswick, they sent me out a new pair right away to replace it, no hassles. But I traded them in for another pair of SST's, my PSO is a great person. If it wasn't for that issue, I would have stayed with them

Brunswick TPUX are made by KR.  KR is changing who they make for on July 1st.  KR will be an all EBI brand and will not be making shoes for Brunswick after the change over.  It is time for them to dump the rest of the Brunswick shoes.

The TPU-X and equivalent Pyramid HPX are probably the most comfortable shoes on the market. But to the point above, they're not the most durable. I alternate between my Dexter 9s and my HPX shoes, and the 9s are in a different class for ability to take abuse.

I realized right away that my HPX toe area was lacking (to say the least), so I had a shoe repair shop glue a thick piece of leather around the tip. It's essentially a DIY toe guard, and it works great. I have a few hundred games in the shoes, and they're still in excellent shape.

For a few extra bucks, I'd probably go for the HPX over the TPU-X just for warranty purposes. When the Brunswick branded shoes are gone, I'm not sure what options would be available for replacement.

For those who don't drag your toes, how have the TPU's held up? This might be too good a deal to pass up on regardless but at the same time I don't have to have to buy a new pair in a year or two.

I have had the shoes since last year and don't particularly drag toe, but I put a lot of pressure on the toe area.

The only problem I had was the velcro on the edge of the traction sole quit sticking to the shoe, the hook part of the velcro on the shoe itself is okay just the velcro on the sole wont stick.

KR sent me a free replacement sole which I haven't used yet, Because it hasn't been a problem. It hasn't peeled off or anything.

How do the sizes run in the TPU-X shoes?  I'm a 13 or 14 depending on the shoe.

I drag and mine are still holding up compared to other shoes that don't make half the season

Mine were a little snug compared to my SST 6's?.  I remember trying some on about 6 months ago and the same size felt fine.  I was a little worried, but after taking them to the lanes everything is OK.  Maybe my socks were really thick or my feet were  little swollen, or the shoe stretched a little, or???  They are definitely a little on the narrow side (even compared to most sneakers I own), so the wide option might be necessary if you're borderline.  For me Asics are tighter/more narrow than Nike or New Balance; the TPU's are more like the Asics.

Like many others have said, they are super comfy!
