The original Defender Hybrid (10/21/2022) was the first Brunswick ball with the HK22 base. It was a shiny asym with a big core that had a great motion down lane. Some bowlers thought the original Defender Hybrid was clean but the hook window could be touchy, so the Ultimate Defender returns with a textured box finish giving it about 4 boards more hook. Continued advancements in formulation and the surface change will give the Ultimate Defender hook and continuation off the pattern on medium to heavier volumes. This release would slot in between the Mindset and Perfect Mindset.
