I'm not saying your lying, but that is really hard to believe.

I don't have pics, just comments from insiders when they made a site visit down there...

Maybe in the beginning they had alot of problems.. but its what.. almost 2 full seasons in Mexico now? They have to be getting apast the problems by now..

I think they are headed in the right direction. The Twisted Fury is an amazing bowling ball, so they are doing something right!

One thing I am wondering is what is with the 'Made in Mexico' stickers? Lol. I find them funny .. They were on the Avalanches and Twisteds we just got in the shop.. something they HAVE to do? .. or something they WANT to do?

I heard thru the taco vine, that it is required to put on the ball, where the ball is made.

The "Made in Mexico" stickers is a requirement for customs.
Needed to have them on the balls to let them in to the USA,
according to onr of my distributerd.

I don't think everyones over it.  I know of several people who won't buy a Brunswick ball because of the move.  My pro shop guy sells Bruns balls but doesn't carry the same amount of inventory of them like he used to. He says they don't sell as good anymore.  He told me that his best sellers are Storm, Hammer, Roto Grip and Lane 1.

Their balls have been in the US for over a year,  without the Made in Mexico engravings on them.  I believe they were told to put those stickers on balls that were allready made,  and did not have the Required engravings  or stickers on them.

i saw nothing on hammer's site about anyone complaining about the black widow clear plastic ball being made in china. yet, people will complain and/or boycott brunswick equipment because it's made in mexico.

Greg, i'm sure you can understand why people are upset about this.  There's nothing wrong with people being ticked off about yet, another company going out of this country and taking jobs away from Americans.  That's what this entire hatred for Brunswick comes from.

such old news.  Why don't you people get fired up over all the foreign oil we use and the U.S. soldiers that have to die for it?  Bowling balls made elsewhere?  Who cares?  Grow up!

Your so right Cool Daddy,

btw,  you left out that golf clubs are made in China.  Yet I don't hear golfers complaining.

And I have not seen anything From Brunswick of poor quality,  since the move.

And not one defective ball from them in all of 2007.

It looks like everyone is NOT over it.

I say, Mexico, Shmexico. Do the balls still knock down pins? If so, then who gives a S? Quit crying and keep bowling. Or keep crying and quit bowling.

On edit: Are the designs and materials not still the same? Just a different production location? If so, it seems like as far as quality goes, there should be no problem.

By the way, have worked for Toyota for 20 years and when we moved production to US we had some transitional quality problems. 20 years later we are part of the big 3 and will pass Chevy in the next year or 2. Chrysler/Dodge may not even exist in 5 and alot of there stuff is/was being engineered and made by Mercedes and Mitsubishi.

The Brunswick balls out of Mexico are the highest quality balls I have ever seen being produced by the company. I was having issues with Brunswick quality before the move, and only ordered in if a customer specifically requested the ball.

Since the move, I am starting to gain interest in restocking the balls. I've drilled quite a few twisted furys, and not had an issue with any of them.

Great job Brunswick.

really... highest quality... hmmmmm...

I sanded a Wizard from Mexico with 400 wet sand and it dulled my sand paper without making a scratch. high quality....... hmmmmm......

What about the Twisted Fury I got with the raised label that I sent back only to get another one. high quality...... hmmmmmm......

ok........

heres an interesting question to ponder...They moved production to mexico to save money right? I wonder if the amount of money they saved is more than the amount they lost due to bowlers not buying their stuff anymore because of the move to mexico. As far as the on topic stuff, yeah its bad that they cut americans out of jobs, but as long as the reaction is the same, I dont mind.

Ok EboKnight,  are you just as upset about all the people in San Antonio that lost their jobs when Ebonite purchased C300?
