Title: Bruswick BVP Rampage
Post by: BrunsMike on October 15, 2005, 01:43:05 PM
Friday night I picked up my Rampage after ordering it 2 weeks before hand. This ball is a very popular ball at my local friday night leauge. 10 other guys have it. Several years ago I switched from Brunswick to Storm and ive been using storm religiously. Lots of good luck with the Storm brand. I decided to take money that ive been winning from brackets, blind doubles, and clean pot games to pay for this Rampage. ($147 drilled and inserts included) Friday night (10/14/05) I average 192 on friday nights currently. 1st 3 games on this ball i shot 626. (245, 225, 156 no pin carry, lots of splits and 10 pin leaves in the last game). Today (10/15/05) I decided that I would bowl a set with the YABA kids that I coach. I bowl at this place usually on Thursday nights where i currently average 199. I ended up shooting 702 with the kids. 217, 246, 239. Ive had this Brunswick for just over 48 hours and ive already shot a 700 and averaging 221.3 on 6 games. Great ball!! Definately glad to have Brunswick back in my line up to mix up things. Great looking ball on top of it all.

Congrats on the results!

I ordered mine earlier this week.  Hopefully it should be here and ready to go by Tuesday.

How is the ball layed out?

I honestly dont know the terminology on how a ball is drilled up. Thats the next stage in my game that I need to learn. Been bowling 15 years and carrying a good average but dont know the faintest idea on ball layout.

Still say its the best THS ball on the market right now---especially with anyone with any amount of hand. It is totally predictable and yet incredibly powerful.

The night I got the ball when i shot the 626, I lost all mental concentration. On top of all that, I had 470 after 2 games. I was trying too hard to get the 230 game I needed for my 700 series instead of letting it happen naturally. Great ball, best ball in my bag right now. Absolutely LOVE IT!!

I like mine but I can't use it on broken down shots with flying backends. Plus I missed the Strike Bowl worth $187 throwing it (left the 6-10) .

I really like my Rampage.  Gotta have some oil in the first half of the lane, it reads pretty early.  Typical Brunswick.  On fresh oil this ball is a beast, and hard to beat it for the price point.  My customers love it.  Very excited about the Ambush also!

Well tonight I had some mishaps with the ball. 100% my own fault. The shot was drier then normal plus I just lost my job today so my mental thought process was not there for the 1st 2 games. Didnt get a whole lot of carry though either, when i did, messenger city! Shot 188, 156, 243 for 589 on a 207 average. Welp thats gonna drop.
