joeschmoe, what do you mean hit or miss? Symmetrical blems are fine. These are most likely logo mistake blems. I've had two Smash Zone blems. One there is nothing wrong with (might've been wrong box specs) and the other, the logos are a bit messed up. That's all.

I don't have issues with cosmetic blems at all. But I've gotten blems with 5" inch pins with 4oz top weights.Take a look at your ball drillers face when they have to scale that one!!!! On the other hand I have a Full Throttle pin in and less than 1oz of top that is one of my favorites and also the ball I shot my best league series with.I wouldn't try to discourage anyone from buying them.That particular ball can be had for 16.00 more first quality??!! I'd pay the extra that's all.

I've seen blems that were 6.5"+ pins and some over 5oz top weight, so I don't buy the fact that are cosmetic blems only! Just be careful and you can make any ball work, you just have to use your imagination!

Wait, you have to remember....balls with 5"+, 6"+ pins aren't blems anymore......now they are "Pro Pins", so you too can use the exotic drillings like the pros use. And then they don't have to discount them anymore, in fact some places charge more for them, to make them look like something special.

I always thought the Smash Zone was very under-rated. Rolled very similar to the Danger Ice Zone for me.

guys relax, this aint the time to bash each other they were bringing up sale signs, i had an apex that cracked on me, fuze igniter cracked, fuze denonator blew up, all they are doing is bringing up sales relax.

These are discontinued balls that we bought in bulk from Brunswick. Not blems cosmetic or core, in fact I believe most of them I've seen were 2-3, but I personally wouldn't complain about a 4+ pin on a pearl Low RG ball. I have also had 3 Smash Zones now and every person that works for us has drilled at least one Smash, and not a single one has cracked yet. Just saying, maybe not always manufacturer fault.

Kenny, I was referring to FastTracker33's post bowlingball.com had Smash Zone Blems for 54.00 yesterday and they don't guarantee pin or top weight because of limited quantities. I understand about not being able to guarantee the specs, the only point I was trying to make was for 69.99 you and bowlingball.com have those 1st quality. Terplife03 you're right about the difference between Blems and x-outs I stand corrected...
