Title: C System 2.5 vs Massive Damage
Post by: PowrKoil17 on May 12, 2012, 01:28:49 PM
How similar are these 2 balls in reaction? I making some arsenal changes and I am trying to get down to 3 balls only. The Ogre SS is the ball that I am most confident in and I am using it as my starting point. I list only pearls because with my slower ball speed solids are usually frustrating and left in the bag. Although the Versa Max could probably be a good fit in one of these lineups also. I am considering the following lineups and I can't decide what fits best together. Would welcome other ball suggestions also.

C System 2.5, Karma P/P, Ogre SS
C System 2.5, Damage, Ogre SS
Massive Damage, Damage, Ogre SS

The Massive Damage is an every day ball on normal house conditions. If my memory serves me right, the 2.5 and the Massive would react fairly closely. The massive has been discontinued :( so getting one may be a challenge, unless you know of a place. It has been one of my favorites, though.

The C-System 2.5 has been discontinued as well but I'm sure you may be able to find one if you look. I used the 2.5 as my first ball out of the bag and was never disappointed.

Thanks, Don, for clarification. At this time every C-System except the Versa Max has been discontinued.

I've seen both and they both have a similar reaction.  I do believe that the MD would be a little cleaner up front compared to the 2.5 though.

Sorry, I didn't realize you already had a 2.5. They are similar enough unless you have a big change in surface.
