Title: C system 4.5
Post by: jmattox on May 30, 2010, 12:10:44 AM
Was just watching the latest talkbowling podcast and they mentioned a new C System ball coming out July 12th and they are going to have info on bowlingball.com June 7th about the ball.

yep. . .the 4.5. . .can't wait to see what the difference is between the International 3.5 LE release earlier this month and what the 4.5 has in store for the US market.

Anyone want to let us in on it?  Same Hybrid ball maybe?

Maybe another strong pearl similar to the 2.5

May depend on what else is released. If they release another Siege that is solid then a 4.5 as a strong pearl would be a good combo.

Still curious on the wild and snake series. The 4.5 already has  a spot on bowlingball.com just no info or pics. If you try say wild west or anaconda there are no pages found.

Wow.  If the 4.5 hooks 25% more than the 3.5, I'll immediately be locked out from buying it... would never be able to throw it.

The 4.5 will not be black.  It is also not designed to be a hook monster.  Wait and see.

Revolver looks sweet. I would hope they went with another color for the 4.5 Black was kinda disappointing.

Don't let misinformation misguide you. I have not seen a 4.5 that looks like that. Must be a bad picture. I wonder who put these up already?

Also, the technical data that is listed on that site with the pics is way off. Someone is way out of bounds with this stuff.

bowlingballvault must have gotten info from someone, but I guess that doesn''t mean it''s good info.

I''ll have to wait like the rest for the real unveiling of the 4.5.

If the Revolver is in the High Performance Series it sure won't be entry level.

I found this today which confirms the approval by USBC of the 3 new Brunswick balls (C System 4.5, Anaconda & Revolver) mentioned earlier by Kyle.
http://usbcongress.http.internapcdn.net/usbcongress/bowl/equipandspecs/pdfs/approved_balllist.pdf
Brunswick dealers probably knew about this upcoming releases since last month but cannot release the specs maybe due to NDA.
Guess we all just have to wait for the official release of specs which could be in a week or two. (unless somebody has the balls to release to us the specs now.)
July release is a good bet since PBA season starts August...

Any new release by Brunswick is eagerly looked forward to. However, I am so impressed with the roll and carry of my C-System 2.5 and 3.5 I have already ordered replacements for the upcoming season. Hopefully though these balls work just as well, if not better.

cant wait to see this one.. Hard to believe its gonna have 25% more hook potential than the 3.5,( which made my Diamond back look like a plastic ball )

Good thing for me is the pro shop still has 2 3.5s looking to be gone in the next month.. MIGHT do the 3.5 if I can get it for 160 drilled out the door, otherwise i would love to try the 4.5

I don't think they will be making a "gun" series.  That probably wouldn't go over well in the public's eye.

Robert Lawrence went to my friends PROSHOP. From
what I heard it suppose to long long with bog back end. I thought the 4.5 should be stronger than 3.5 I guess not. My PROSHOP guy was suprise heard it suppose to go long. He said the number system was a mistake if that's the case.

To me the numbers are only to tell a difference from one model to the next. Not to be as a consideration of hook. You wouldn't release a 2.5, a 3.5, and then because the next ball in the series has a different reaction call it a 1.5 or a 2.7.

Just because the ball has more skid snap doesn't mean it will hook less either.

You could call it the C-System 2011, I wouldn't expect it to be 2007.5 times stronger then then 3.5 Remember if you want numbers for core, cover, and ball shape look at the Track names. Any body else that has a number in the name is just a number.

I'm sure what ever it does, it will do it very well.

Sorry for the typos. It's kinda hard to type using the iPhone. What I ment about the ball is it's suppose to go long and big backend. Stronger than the previous csystem.

Actually from what I understand, the number 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, etc... has to do with the percentage of the additive that Carmen Salvino developed.  The more additive, the quicker response to friction.  But I could be wrong...

Judging by the pics on brunswicks website they are going with a gun theme on the revolver since it has empty shell casings around it and smoke coming out of one of the finger inserts.
