Chameleon and Radical/Absolute
« on: June 06, 2007, 02:56:58 AM »
Had my first week of our Sport Shot league. We ended up laying the chameleon pattern down. First time for me on any PBA shot.
169+221+233=623

First game I stuggled to find a consistant line, couldnt decide on playing right into the pocket or swinging it cautiously. I switched between my Fury and Absolute first game. Second game, I pull out my radical and play right up 1st arrow. Bam. pocket hit after pocket hit. 3rd game I switched to my absolute, played up the 3-4 board. bam. again, same results. Somewhat pulled my series out of drain.
Being as this was the first time I had bowled on a PBA pattern, it was very different. I watched a few other bowlers and noticed that swinging it like you would regularaly ended up in the ditch. You had to swing it with much caution. Playing it straight up was the best idea. But, if you were to careful, the backends would get ya and the ball would cross over. Overall, I think the radical gave me a better look, but my absolute seemed to carry everything.

Next week we lay a Junior Gold shot. Will let everyone know how that goes.
