what to bring?
« on: March 20, 2006, 08:53:51 AM »
Thought I would ask see what you guys thought I should bring to Nationals at the end of April. My arsenal consists of:
Ambush
Nemesis
Zone Classic
Punisher
My Nemesis and ZC are similar just the ZC is more angular.  I'm only bringing 3 balls this year. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd also say that there should be something "above" the Nemesis for really heavy oil. A Strike Zone, Ultimate or Scorchin' Inferno would qualify. I'd stay away from a Goliath - it is a very good oil ball but very special. And unless you are sure that it might fill the gap, I'd rather go with one of the strong solid reactives.

You have plenty of equipment to handle Nats. Nemesis with a bit of surface maybe to play a square up near the edge. Ambush should fill in nicely behind that maybe a bit of surface with slight polish over that. Punisher as last ball to play to get down the lane. I guess I don't understand the need for a swamp ball like the scorchin. They dropped the amount of volume this year and you have medium speed and revs your nemesis should suffice. I would only say you need a plastic ball unless you kill your spare shots. That would be the best investment for the trip. Good luck and post your experience when you return.

Thanks for repling,  looks as though I'm going to leave the ZC at home.  I kill the ball at spares so no need for the plastic.  I'll just plan to bring my BVP line there mostly the balls I have used this year.  I put out the results when I get back.

the lanes seemed fairly dry to me. by the end af team i was inside fourth arrow, and doubles and singles obviously was worse, playing a little inside fifth arrow with a little loft and some more speed.

I'll probably be taking:

Super Carbide BOMB
Werewolf or Ultimate
Vapor
Rampage
