My current Brunswick inventory is an Alpha Max, 2 Ultimate Infernos (1 polished and the other dull 800 grit Rough Buff), a Damage and a Target Zone for spares. The Infernos have an awful lot of games on them and are not likely to last much longer. I have a chance to get either a Diamondback or a Loaded Revolver at a really good price. Anone have any thoughts on which would be a better replacement for the Infernos?
The Diamondback will be closer in overall look and performance to the Ultimate, without duplicating it, than the Loaded Revolver. It uses the exact same coverstock, Activator solid, with a slightly finer stock finish. The LR gets much more length and much more backend than the DB. The DB, out of the box, will handle more oil than the LR which is more of a medium oil ball. The DB is closer to a medium-heavy oil ball.
Both are excellent balls but for different purposes and they give a different look on the lanes.
BUT I think since you already have or will have one Ultimate Inferno, the LR may give you a different look that could helpful in having a more complete arsenal. Just food for thought.
