Does the Ebonite buy-out worry Brunswick ?
« on: February 06, 2007, 08:26:56 AM »
Seeing that Ebonite now has a huge part of the bowling ball market, it makes me wonder about brunswick over the next few years ?

Since they made the move down south to turn a profit. You think they can compete with (the now) ball making giant Ebo ?

Makes me wonder the the same about all the other ("small") companies now too.

People who like Brunswick and throw the equipment will continue to support Big B.  People who like anything from new arrivals in the Walmart Superstore of bowling may have some worries about the new equipment, this could even help Brunswick.  I think they will get by.

As "giant" as you may think Ebonite is, they don't compare to Brunswick IRT their foot-hold in the bowling industry.  Brunswick is the "Name that built the game."

I don't believe any other bowling company will ever come close to that.

I don't recall ever bowling in an Ebonite bowling center.  I've bowled in SEVERAL Brunswick establishments though.

There is one Ebonite bowling center.  Galaxy Lanes is located in Columbia, TN.

I used to laugh about the fact that Ebonite's center was in Columbia, but I guess that is not so funny now.
