I had one and totally agree with what N Smith said.

AN excellent ball, very versatile, with a strange power that belies its relatively mild (these days) core. The Brunswick Power Koil 18 cover probably has something to do with it. It can handle medium to medium-light oil patterns as well as any ball EVER made. I drilled one up a short while ago, with not yet enough experience for a review, but I am more astounded by it every time I use it. As always, the right drilling and the right oil pattern for your delivery make all the difference in the world.

I got the general core specs for the Fire Quantum from Brunswick. I calculated the actual RG and RG Diff from Brunswick's relative numbers.

Fire Quantum: (relatively rough calculations)
RG Max: 2.537
RG Min: 2.505
RG Diff: .032

I won a 15 lb Fire Quantum from them not too long ago.  Paid $86 for it, so you got me there.  I haven't played with it a ton yet (3 or 4 games), but I did notice that it seems to carry very well, especially on light hits.  Drilled it leverage and it will definitely move for me.  I had the polish taken off after my last set and will head back to the lanes today to see what type of reaction I get with a dull finish.
