First night with the Fury

Tried the Fury last night in my league. Ball is drilled with the pin just to the side of the ring finger, and the cg towards the right of my palm. Looks similar to a label leverage drill. Not sure if the ball is box surface or not, bought it from a member here. Ball rolls very well, and although I did leave a couple of flat tens, it was more operator error then the fault of the ball. Carried almost everything, from light to trip fours. Much more angular than I thought it would be. Definitely a ball I can feed from heavy oil out to the dry on the THS. 235-228-255 718 is a good start for any ball first time out.

Good job. I can't believe how many 4 pins I trip forward with this ball. I don't know why, except that there's always pins moving around on the back row. It's almost comical at times.

You get a few of those 4 pins forward and it starts messing with your opponent's mind.

I should have mine, with what sounds like a similar drilling, in a couple days.  Throwing an x-hole on as well for more flare.  I can't wait to use this thing.

I've heard from various sources/people that it appears to rev up in the backend.  I can't wait to see this.

I have a feeling this is a special ball.  The kind of ball that really sets a new standard.

I've also heard to bring some polish as this thing wants to hook right away on heads that aren't soaked.  I've read taking it down to 1000 grit and throwing Rough Buff on it makes it perfect for more med-heavy conditions for certain releases.

I plan on using it as my soaker but a friend told me polishing it up some makes it usable on not quite soaked but oily conditions and the angle this thing makes on the back is impressive.

Closer examination, and throwing it again, show that the cover has to be 2000-4000 abralon. I compared it with a ball in the pro-shop last night that was box surface and there is a big difference in the two. I have heard many people that have not been too happy with the ball, but the way it rolls and hits in the conditions I have thrown it on, shows it will be in my arsenal.

That one is going to be the real keeper. Wow, hits so hard, and a great roll on it. So forgiving too. Yes I do like it. Going to use it in the pro-am tomorrow in Grand Rapids, but not sure what the shot is going to be like.

Hold off on that hole until you throw it, you may not want that extra flare unless you are bowling on extreme oil.  Do as you wish, but you have been warned

Shot my first full series with mine last night (drilled Wednesday).  214-233-233.  Missed a 2, 6, and 10 pin or shot 700+.  When I swung it wide, it came back.  If I played in tight, it held.  Just wish I could cover spares this year.  Missing these three single pins is so reresentative of how my year has gone.  Mine is OOB condition and the pin is just below and slightly right of my ring finger.  It looks weird but the CG is only about 1/4 inch from the pin.  Flare rings are not too tight, but I sure have a lot of them.

How'd I miss a frickin' 6 pin too!  Believe it or not I laid the ball out and it went straight!  I never imagined it not hooking but it literally went straight.  I have missed so many eassssyyyy single pin spares this year it is unbelievable.

I just throw the same ball from different spots.  Anything to the left of the headpin is cake.  Use the spare ball for the right.

I put hook on the ball for spares so I don't have the greatest technique, for sure, but I don't miss many none the less.

I just picked up one..I'm going to drill it pretty mild (maybe 5.5X3 or something) and smooth out the surface.  I'll never be able to throw it around here for our league shot, but maybe on some of the PBA conditions this summer and hopefully for fresh oil in Reno.

Wrote up a review in the Fury reviews section.

I like this ball a lot initially.  It's more versitle than some have commented on I think.  I was able to throw it from different places with good results.  It definitely allows you to play deeper and really get an angle on the pocket.

I've never seen a ball roll so nice.  It doesn't quit and doesn't roll out at or burn up at all.  No quit in this ball.

It destroys a medium to oily house shot.  I can't wait to try it on something a little more block like and oily.
