Absolute vs Original
« on: February 22, 2005, 11:49:38 PM »
I am going to buy one of these balls soon and just want to know what is the real difference in their reactions?  Does one handle oil better than the other?  Does the "improved" coverstock on the Absolute make a big difference?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have any of these balls but, I have a couple of buddies who do. The original Inferno is not quite as angular as the Absolute. I bowled with a 14 year old phenom who has a lot of revs and the has the Hybrid dirty bomb and the Absolute. The Absolute goes a little longer and is not as strong as the Hybrid. So if you're looking for control and a earlier roll get the Inferno. If you're looking for a little later roll and a more angular backend get the Absolute. They are both great medium oil balls. I think the Hybrid is better but cost more.
