For those who haven't heard...

After five and a half years as the Northwest Product Specialist for Brunswick, Ric Hamlin lost his job on Monday as part of a cost-cutting measure.

I'd like to thank Ric for everything he's done, not only for Brunswick, but for his contributions to bowling in Northern California.  These contributions included (but were certainly not limited to) his hard work in making events such as the Modesto Masters, Nor Cal Junior All-Stars, and Cloverleaf Memorial Day tournaments successful, and the numerous mini-camps and PBA lane play seminars that he organized.

I'd also like to wish Ric the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Another great guy gone as a casualty of this industry.  When will it stop?  The best at their crafts are dropping one by one.

  That's just crappy. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere soon. He's been one of the good guys on here and has been very helpful to me at times.

These companies now days have no loyalty whatsoever to their employees who literally are the ones who make these companies money. Its a very sad commentary

Just reading what RicO had to say on here I could tell he was a Brunswick diehard. It sounded not just because he was employed by them but because he believed in their products. Sad day to see him no longer with Brunswick. Best of luck with whatever may come your way.

Thank you for the kind words. I always felt I tried to do for the best of Brunswick and bowling as a whole. And on top of that, I had a great support group that however possible, made me look good, which was not always the easiest.

I truly enjoyed the opportunity that Brunswick provided to me the past 5+ years, I do not look back in regret. I was able to accomplish an amazing amount of things, that would not have been possible without them. I gained a lot of friends out of all this and I am blessed with that. I honestly thought I would retire from Brunswick.

I am not sure where the new road I am on, will lead me, but whereever it is and wherever I go, I know, there I will be.

This really sucks. Ric has always made himself available when asked for technical information and drilling advice. His advice has helped me greatly and will be forever appreciated. To be honest I may have to reconsider my continued use of Brunswick. Who could you go to for information now?

Thank you Ric. I have no doubt you'll land on your feet. Hopefully you'll get swept up by another ball company.

First off Rico i have to say that totally sucks. But remember something a good friend once told me....when every door closes, another opens.

I will guarantee that some other company will pick him up for his knowledge and reputation alone.

Ric is a class act and will be a big bonus for any company out there intelligent enough to put him on board.

Yes that certinly does SUCK!! Thanks again Ric For ALL your help with our Vector Plus issues, even though you didnt have to. They are losing a key ingredient to the Brunswick team!! From all the staff and myself at Lets Bowl, best wishes on your future endevors...call me when you have a chance.
