For those who haven't heard...

After five and a half years as the Northwest Product Specialist for Brunswick, Ric Hamlin lost his job on Monday as part of a cost-cutting measure.

I'd like to thank Ric for everything he's done, not only for Brunswick, but for his contributions to bowling in Northern California.  These contributions included (but were certainly not limited to) his hard work in making events such as the Modesto Masters, Nor Cal Junior All-Stars, and Cloverleaf Memorial Day tournaments successful, and the numerous mini-camps and PBA lane play seminars that he organized.

I'd also like to wish Ric the best of luck in his future endeavors.

I don't even throw Brunswick, but I've heard the name and learned alot from the videos(though alot of them were funny too).

That really sucks to hear.  May you bounce back soon.

This is disappointing. Brunswick has always been the company that you could get real advice from real people. Just look at this board for instance.
I am sorry to see that Brunswick has made a poor move and let Ric go.

And Ric, best of luck in your future endeavors. Glad to see you aren't leaving the board!

Rico,

Sorry to hear the sad news. Hope they gave you some lead time, but corporations rarely do that. As several have already said, it seems a bitter pill to swallow at first but, in time, you'll find a new path to follow. When a door closes behind you, there's always a new one opening somewhere down the corridor. we just have to see it for what it is.

Your posts here indicate a good attitude which can be very hard in today's environment. Congrats on that. Oh, a thanks for all the help you've been to everyone here, even if others didn't say it at the time.
