Title: Forest Green & Fire Quantum discontinued?
Post by: JPbowling151 on January 23, 2018, 06:17:04 PM
I noticed while surfing the Brunswick bowling website the Forest and Fire Quantums were moved from the Pro Performance category to the retired section...guess it's time to pick one or both up on closeout! I suppose the premium price tag had something to do with them getting discontinued? For example, the Vintage DZ has been around longer than the Quantums and is still on the catalog.

Yeah they are priced where they should have been 3 months after release.  At least they learned their lesson with the Black.  Their argument 2 piece balls are more expensive falls flat when see price of Hy-Road and Honey Badger.  I love my Green but I tend to need stronger pieces than most people.  Black and Fire are probably more useful on THS for most people.  Have a black coming.  Definitely recommend adding at least one to most arsenals.  I am guessing they are going to keep the middle of the road Black around a lot longer if for no other reason it shares the same cover stock as the Mag 35.

These balls did not impress me in the least.  Instead of a free bag they have given you a free bowl of soup.

I like them but everyone matches up different.  Now if I paid $175 for them might be more critical but to me they are a good deal under $125 and are quickly becoming my go to pieces.

I'm not sure why the surprise. They were released 14 months ago.

Yeah having 2016 in the actual cover stock name is kind of a give away.  Still its not like the balls are perishable which is why paying over $130 for a ball is a fool's errand.  Last year's cream of the crop balls are generally better that whatever is getting hyped right now and cheaper.
