Went to a near by pro shop yesterday and they had just received 8 15 lbs and 2 16.  Going to get mine probably Friday or Saturday.

It's okay to buy from Pro Shops, ya know?

I got 5 cases in Monday, and they are selling for 174.95, drilling/grips/slug included.

That's a pretty solid price point for that ball.  You certainly won't have too much difficulty seeding the market at that price.

Why do pro shops charge so much more than on-line?  Do you guys just buy on-line and take the ball in to have it drilled or just tell them what you can get it for on-line?

Why are we so much? Because we include drilling and other perks when you buy from us.

We're here to make MONEY, but will bend over backwards for our customers.

Just like why is dyno tuning $150/hr? Why so much? Well, if the mechanic is that skilled in his trade, its WORTH IT.

Nick,  sorry didn't mean to step on your toes.  I am buying it from the pro shop but they are wanting $209 plus plugs and grips. I am hoping the service they provide to make sure the ball is done right for me will make it worth the differnce in price.

So maybe I should be buying from you instead. ;-)

Boycer11 think about the price you pay online. Say you buy a Fury from bowling.com  it's about $130 shipped.  Ok now add another 50 for drilling.  I picked 50 because thats what most shoppes around me charge. Then say you want grips and a slug if thats not included it could be another 10 to 20 bucks.  so now before grips and a slug you were at 180.  Add grips and slug your around 200 bucks.  If you do the math a lot of the times a pro shop with competitive price to the internet is pretty close if not better then online sites.  I'm not saying the internet is terrible I'm just saying do the math.  I don't mind if someone brings a ball from the internet to get drill I'll charge him the same thing that is already included in the price of a ball I have selling on the wall.

heck, i wish my dyno tune was that cheap!!!  250/hour...and thank god they got it tuned in just a short number of pulls.  at least at the shop you know all specs will be in line and what you want.  although i did have some good luck with the online shops, but a few had some off-center cg's.  but overall turned out to be the same price.  lets see, $135 for the ball online...you take to shop to get drilled..$30bucks...finger inserts $15bucks..total price $180.  so all in all, I have done both and now that i work at a pro shop, i understand why it is much better to purchase from one.  cheers!!!  and let us know after you get it drilled how it is.

Thanks for the info.  I live in the midwest and the last ball I had drilled was only $25, course I wasn't happy with how the ball reacted at all, so trying a new pro shop.
