Title: FYI Radical Inferno on German distributor website - new pic
Post by: dizzyfugu on June 26, 2006, 01:48:42 AM
Sorry, only in German. Facts are known, nothing really new, but there is a different ball picture on the German website than the one from Denmark some days ago. More yellow... looks... interesting.

Thats interesting, they're changing a totally different name for the coverstock, rather that activator_____.  I wonder whether they found a dfferent base for the cover or just modified one of the activators and changed the name.  I'll have to keep my eyes out for this one, assuming that its not just a different color absolute.

according to the site the avg. RG between the smokin and the radical are WAY different...the smokin is 3.4 and the Radical is 2.6. as well the Diff. is different... the smokin is.042 and the radical is.050...

does this translate to a reaction difference?

Seeing as there is an entirely new coverstock on the Radical that will trump the differences between the cores.

Used an online translator to get it in english. Here is what I got:

Article NR. 60-104644-93X bowl: CoverstockOctane Reactive 3-farbig Blue/Yellow/Chrome hardness: 76-77 surface: High Gloss polish core: RG max: 2,513 RG min: 2,463 RG Diff: 0,050 AVERAGES RG: 2.6 hook potential: 135 length: 100 BREAK POINT: 95 weights: 12-16 Pounds

Ball report Brunswick Technology The Radical inferno is the first ball of the urethanes casting machine completely new of Brunswick's was made. The machine is full a part particularly made "State OF the kind" of an area High Tech equipment. This machine has a sensor system, which supervises temperatures, pressure and flow rates at each important point during the casting process. The new multicolor and particle mixing tube head makes possible now also a multi-colour. Octane bowl with the new machine can connect now also different materials for Brunswick along also. Thus becomes from the Activatorschale now Octane. Reaction The Radical inferno is practically an improved Scorchinversion, with more length ?Out OF the box: The Radical inferno is ideally?Aufgemacht for centraldry to centraloily course conditions: reacts the Radical inferno in former times and is so better suitable for oily courses, where it reduces over/under reactions.

I think it means that this is the first brunswick ball made with the new machinery that allows for multi-colors and multi-colored particle balls also.  Pay attention to the part I italicized, it tells what the ball is supposed to be vs the scorchin.

I just found out at a Brunswick seminar, that they have been making urethane groove at the new plant for the past month. All the Radical Inferno's are being made there. They plan to start making plastic balls there around october, making cores there at the begining of next year and be in full operation at the end of next year.

The single pic on the ball's webside is the same as yours, I just included this one to be complete. The "group pic" with the other Infernos looks different - just for another ball impression. I know that all the info had been posted before (plus the link to the spec sheet).

Thanks for the info on the Octane cover.  I was busy last week and missed the other posts about it.  It seems very interesting.  If it has the backend traction they are talking about I may get it rather than getting another Awesome Flip.  All the ultra low rg infernos have been fairly early rolling to me and I tend to prefer asyms, but if there is a serious breakthrough here, I may have to try one.

DANGIT!!!
WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED??????

THATS ALL I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FOR NOW. . .

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

MY INFERNOS WILL SMOKE YOU!!!

The RADI sounds promising, since polished Activator+ seems to be quite itchy... I am looking foward for this one, too, because I think it will be a very good "Basic" ball with a symmetrical core.
