So, I should know this, as it was one of the greatest movies ever made; but, what ball does Woody Harrelson use in Kingpin? I watched it for the first time in probably 5 years the other night. I have searched all over the internet, but, I can't find any info. I thought I found it; as I thought it was a gold Rhino Pro. However, after watching the first bowling scene in Vegas again (the scene where his rubber hand sticks in the ball and comes back thru the return), you can clearly see it only says Rhino and does not say "Pro" anywhere. Also, the ball in the movie is almost a sparkle (I guess) and all of the gold Rhino Pro's that I have found (including the ones on eBay) are a swirl design. Can anyone tell me anything about the ball and where I could possibly find one? I know it wouldn't be great on today's lane conditions, but, it would be cool to have one just as a collector.

It was a Rhino Gold Sparkle. It is either polyester or plastic.

That ball has sat at High Sierra Lanes in Reno, Nv after the filming of the movie. Used to walk past it everytime I was there. It was given to one of the extras in the movie as a gift and he gave it to the bowl to show.
But about a month ago he took it home after the glass case it sat in broke. No damage to the ball however.
On a side note, you can definately see where it made contact with the lane. That is, little specks or dents that darken the gold flake. There are but a few on it...

lane hawk made a gold sparkle ball that looks just like it without the rhino its a ployester ball and you can find them on the net just search lanehawk gold sparkle i thought about getting one i think there around 80-90 dollars also they have a pink and blue one to i believe

mikeywg, a plastic or polyester ball would be the same type of ball. technically, all modern bowling balls are made from a type of plastic. the old hard rubber balls are the only ones not made from a type of plastic. the balls that most people call plastic are in fact made from polyester.
