All I can say is...WOW!  What a difference equipment makes!!!  As I posted on the Brunswick Hi-Perf board a few weeks ago, I am getting back into the game after about a ten year layoff.  I asked for suggestions for replacing my mid-80s Brunswick Edge II ball.  Bill O., the Brunswick Guru, suggested I try either a Groove Proactive or a Monster Bruiser.  After doing lots of research and consulting with my local Pro, I decided to get the Monster Bruiser.  
When I bowled 10 years ago, I averaged around 180-185.  In the 15 games I've bowled during my "comeback" since Thanksgiving, my average with the Edge was around 165.  Well, I ordered the Bruiser the day after Christmas, and after a small backorder, it arrived today and the wait was well worth it!  I went to the lanes and bowled three games with my old ball while they drilled my new one...171, 177, and 135 (splits in the 8th, 9th, and 10th frames killed me).  They brought me my new ball as I was finishing my third game, so I knew I had to bowl at least three more games.  First ball with the Bruiser...a perfect pocket shot that put all 10 pins in the pit!  Anyway, I rolled a 171, 212, and 196 with my new ball!  The Bruiser is a #15 as opposed to my Edge which was a #16 and with the new drilling, I feel as if I have more control over the ball than I ever have!  I'm very excited about getting back in the game now!!!
