Deciding between the two

Hammer Redemption Solid or MOTIV Forge Flare. I have heard the forge flare is one of the strongest balls on the market today.

I'm betting there isn't ten cents difference between the two performance wise. Go with which ever brand/color scheme/box style/manufacturer location you prefer.

Don't believe all the BS hype from the staffer "reviews" you read here.

"If you don't stand for our flag, then don't expect me to give a damn about your feelings."

The Hammer is asymmetrical, the Motiv is symmetrical.

Aside from that, either one is going to be strong.  Pick whichever one you think would work better for your game.

Love the 2.0 Widow. Rolls awesome and for me to say that about an asymmetrical ball says something. I know nothing about the new Forge as in my area Motiv just said the 2 new balls have both been pushed back again another week. Should be a super strong symmetrical ball. Probably can’t go wrong with either.

Just realized you said Redemption. Still a super strong asymmetrical but I do not like it anywhere near the new Widow. Gave me the typical hook set asymmetrical reaction I hate with passion.

FWIW my Forge Flare is hilariously strong, to the point, i'm not sure how it's going to be useful, but i'm going to tote it around with me a while and try and find a use for it. I haven't adjusted surface because I don't really have a hole in my arsenal for a weaker shape out of it, so i'm hoping some day on a big flood or something bizarre carrydown wise it'll show a use.

Lucky you! I am one of the few folks that cannot stand the entire Widow line! I hate that ball with a passion! The only thing cool about it is the Logo!

I'm looking at the exact same decision. The issue of symmetrical vs asym is huge for me if both balls give identical performance, since I've never met an  asym I really like with the possible exception of my SureLock. So, if they are the same or even close, my choice is made.

OP, what's your stats? Here's the problem. The Forge Flare looks way early and to my eye deflects too much. Being a low rev lefty where everything looks like a flood, I fear the Flare will die at my feet.

Hey Lefty, post a video with your favorite ball layout and you actually releasing the ball so others can give you the best helpful advice on a ball purchase.

I have the Redemption Solid. It is a good ball. In heavy oil and long oil. So if you bowl. In a sport league,or you are bowling in tournaments where you will be bowling in heavy oil.  The Redemption solid might be a good choice. If you are just looking for a ball for your house league maybe try a different ball. The Redemption solid is a little hit and miss on a regular house shot. At least in my house league the oil drys up to quickly for my Redemption solid to.be effective much past game 1.

All.that being said your personal bowling style will  be the biggest factor in which one of the balls you mentioned would be good for you.

I myself like asymmetric solid bowling balls. I have zero pearl.bowling balls in my arsenal and only one symmetric.

Good luck with whichever one you purchase.

If you like solid equipment that Proton something by Storm that comes out tomorrow looks interesting so does the Zenith by Brunswick.Keep in mind though like my Redemption solid. Both of those bowling balls based on what I read about them probably need oil, and will burn up your standard house shot very quickly.
