Avalanche vs Avalanche?
« on: March 09, 2010, 08:11:27 AM »
Is there a difference between the green/black and the blue/white version of this ball.  I havent been able to find one.  Besides of course the obvious thing being the color.  Thanks yall!

LOL...you're right.  I totally missed that when reviewing their specs!  Has anyone bowled both?  Thoughts?

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

You didn't ask but the Avalanche Slide is longer, and stronger on the backend compared to the original Avalanche Pearl.

Haven't played the Avalanches, but know both covers. The N'Control stuff glides much more easily through the heads than PK18, which grabs sooner and more even, where N'Control can be pretty itchy at the break point and allergic to oil. That said, I know two players personally who had the Blue/Silver one and did not like it either... IMO, the Black/Green is a true step above the Blue/Silver one, condition-wise.

I noticed that the blue and white was squirty in oil and just a little unpredictable. The black and green gave me a stronger over all ball motion with a much more predictable move down lane. The black and green is a winner in my book.
