I think I got a good deal?

I just recently saw a BVP Ambush on eBay used..so I put in a small bid...and won it.  Total cost after shipping was $39.50.

For the people that have it...does it work well on medium oil conditions?  I primarily bowl on those types, so if this will work I can plug and redrill it and not have to spend anymore money on equipment for a while.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. got the ball today and it looks GREAT!

Right now it's laid out with the pin directly below what would be the ring finger of a right handed bowler.  Well actually it's a little bit off centered below the ring finger.  I don't see any other markings on the ball besides a tiny hole punched in it, which is located maybe 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch below the thumb hole.  Not an xhole, just a hole....looks for sure to be a factory hole.

I've never seen one of these before, so I'm not sure how they mark the CG or anything.

The hole you are seeing is a vent hole for the thumb. Some guys will really get there thumbhole tight and use this to allow some air pressure escape thru the bottom side of the hole.

The CG is a marking that looks like someone took the tip of a ball knife and made a punch mark about a 1/16th deep. Use the Big B as a reference. If the B is pretty close to centered in respect to the grip on the ball, then the Cg is somewhere below the pin or slightly left of it. If the Big B is to the left(assuming rt hand drill), then the CG is probably to the right and down from the pin.

I am on my second one. This ball is pretty smooth off the breakpoint. This is a good control ball if you are having some trouble on flatter patterns with the strong stuff snap-hooking on you. I have been using this on medium length sport patterns (38-40ft) and cutting my angle down and really blowing racks.

Don't be afraid to polish it up some. I think they are leaving it rough buffed from the factory and if you see too many flat tens from energy loss, head for the pro shop and have it polished slightly.

The Ambush does not have a rough buff finish. It's high gloss from the factory.

Ahh yes I see the CG marking now.  It's pretty much on the center grip line swung out to the right of the ring finger.
