How close are the absolute inferno and Smokin inferno
« on: April 15, 2006, 05:19:19 AM »
I have a smoking inferno works very nice on a fresh shot but when i have to bowl on a broken down shot it tends to be to flippy i start to leave 4's and if i move in deeper ill leave 10's. I do have a purple silver quantum also, i was told that is not an orig inferno remake does any one know whare i can find the stats on this ball. If i got a Absolute inferno do you think it would complement the smokin inferno? I was also considering a BVP ambush for thoes over under shots. What ball should i purchase next to fit in my bag.

Sorry, I disagree. I have both (AI and SI) with very similar drilling and I am absolutely sure that the SI has more length, less midlane motion and a significantly more angular backend than the AI.

My friend has the Absolute Inferno and the Smokin both in box condition. The Absolute drilled a little bit stronger. To me, the Absolute picks up earlier be it the drilling or the ball's nature or surface and the backend is a nice controlled arc. The Smokin gets cleanly down the lane and has a much stronger backend reaction than the AI. Both balls are pretty strong and probably cover the same amount of boards, just differently. That's my take.

I have the Absolute not the Smokin, so I can't comment.

Hrm ok Absolute inferno i had one of thoes before my pap is 5 over and 1/2 up im a stroker with about 250 revs play down and in my A game on our house shot i can add plently more revs if needed. How should i drill this ball my smokin is drilled 4 1/2 x 3 x hole on my pap 2 and 1/4 deep 7/8ths in dia. The ball lays out to have 7/8ths side weight.
