Post by: hotstreet on December 01, 2008, 12:11:15 PM
Has a Harley Davidson chick ball get little gauges in it.

Can you use abralon pads on them?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure if you sand a Viz-A-Ball it will take off the picture as well? Someone with more knowledge will eventually post i'm sure.

Not easy to fix....they can be lighly sanded, but if there are more than light scratches....really stuck with using a patch. The images on t vis a ball are not thick at all they can and will be sanded off if too aggressive of a grit, or too much pressure is applied. Hope that helps....USE CAUTION and let her know the possible problems.

best bet is to patch w/ same color, lightly use a file on the patch and use nothing rougher than 400 grit on it and rough buff polish.

The last thing you want to do is sand and vis-a-ball. My son's U of K vis got scratched up by a ball return, hit it with turtle wax and it looks great.
