I know a lot of us me included, the ones with not a lot of hand or revs are a little jealous of the ones who have all this.I can give any of my balls to a bowler who can stand to the left throw it out and it will come swinging back in well i just cant do this all i leave are 8-10s cos i cant get it to drive in.Most of us when asked by the person who is drilling it, they say what do you want it to do..we say to go long and finish strong( this is probably what 80% of bowlers ask for.The driller looks at the make of the ball and just drills it to his or the drilling specifications and says there you go that will work wonders for you.Problem is 80% of us cant get a ball to come off the hand rolling and to finish strong (unlike the 20% better bowlers)we skid the ball down for 45ft and get a roll at the end but not a real driving roll to the pocket. So i decided to get my AI which i bought slightly used and try a totally different drilling,firstly i wanted an early roll so that meant pin under fingers. I was told this is not a drilling for you (it will roll but wont finish well)but i went ahead and done it anyway.Got the pin 1in below the fingers midline CG just above the thumbhole inch to the right.Tried it on Monday night, first game disaster tried standing left of middle playing between 3rd/4th arrow rolled great but no finish left 2 sleepers and 3 washouts no conversions for a 132 started 2nd game with a washout open. Then i decided a big move was needed i guessed right!!stood first arrow right of middle played right down the between 1st/2nd arrow went out with 255 then a 240 last game the ball rolled great and made a strong strong arc into the pocket i just couldn't miss.It really looked good and i felt great, only 3 games but loved the roll and backend reaction on it for a drilling thats not really supposed to do this.So i'll keep on experimenting with some unusual drillings and see what happens. Sorry to bore you all but a totally different drilling to the usual ones my help bowlers like me with not a lot of hand or revs may be benificial.
