Fuze Purple Pearl vs. Time Zone
« on: January 11, 2004, 06:38:51 PM »
Has anyone thrown both or replaced the Purple Fuze with the Time Zone?
Just looking for any similarities in reaction. I have a customer who needs
a replacement for his Purple Fuze, any other suggestions?

Thanks to all who reply,

I've thrown both.

Time Zone is much earlier stronger cover than the Purple fuze(which I didn't like).

I would guess that the Fuze Ignitor is closer!  Pearl but a little more flare and slightly lower rg.

I also always thought the Monster Scream'r had more of the reaction charecteristics the Purple fuze was supposed to have!

The ignitor is close, but again it's a lot more ball & will move harder.

The Monster Frenzy tends to have the same shape hook, & with drilling & coverstock adjustments should be ideal.

I would say the Raging Red Fuze would be closer to the time zone reaction. The Red fuze read the midlanes much stronger than the purple or igniter fuze's, as will the Time Zone, given its asymmetrical weight-block and Powerkoil 18 cover. So, after all that, no, the Time Zone would not be anything close to a replacement for your purple fuze. You may want to look to the SlayR for the milder reaction like the Purple Fuze had. Also the other 2 suggestions were not bad, the Frenzy or the ScreamR. I think any of the 3 monster balls named would be close to that Fuze.
